A camel ride into Erg Chebbi, dinner under the stars and a night in a tent with a real bed and private bathroom.
Already in Merzouga, or travelling on your own? Join us for one night in the dunes. We meet you in the village in the afternoon and ride into the desert as the light turns gold.
The camp has comfortable tents with real beds and private bathrooms, dinner, music by the fire and the clearest sky you have ever seen.
Perfect if you are already travelling in the south, by rental car or with another program, and want a special night in the dunes. We can also add it to any of our tours instead of the standard camp.
The camp is small and quiet, set in a hollow among the dunes, and the team is from Merzouga. Parking for your car is available in the village, and we can meet you at your hotel.

Day by day
Part1
Afternoon · Into the dunes
Meeting in Merzouga, mint tea and a camel ride across Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset.
You meet our team in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Leave your big luggage in the car and ride a camel for about an hour into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping on a high dune to watch the sand turn orange and red as the sun goes down.
Part2
Evening · The camp
Dinner in the camp, Berber drums by the fire and a night under the stars.
The luxury camp has spacious tents with real beds, linen and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Dinner is served by candlelight: harira soup, salads, a slow-cooked tajine and fruit. Afterwards, the drums play around the fire and, far from any light, the Milky Way shines over the dunes.
Part3
Morning · Sunrise
Wake up for the sunrise, breakfast and the ride back to the village.
Climb the dune behind the camp before dawn to see the first light over the Sahara, one of the most beautiful moments of any trip to Morocco. After breakfast in the camp, the camels take you back to Merzouga, where you can shower before continuing your journey.
