Berber villages, an argan cooperative and the waterfalls of Setti Fatma in the green Ourika valley.
Less than an hour from Marrakech, the Ourika valley follows a mountain river into the High Atlas. It is the easiest way to see Berber villages and waterfalls in one day.
The closest mountain escape from Marrakech, ideal for a half or full day in nature. In summer the valley is cooler than the city, and in spring the fields are bright green.
The walk to the first waterfall is short but rocky; good shoes are recommended.

Part1

Part2
Midday · Setti Fatma
A short walk to the waterfalls and lunch by the river.
In Setti Fatma, at the end of the road, a short walk with a local guide takes you up to the first of the seven waterfalls. Lunch in one of the restaurants on the river bank, with a tajine cooked on charcoal.
