One of the highest waterfalls in Morocco, olive groves and wild Barbary macaques, on a private day trip from Marrakech.
About three hours from Marrakech, the river El Abid drops more than 100 metres into a green gorge. A path leads down past mills and small cafés to the foot of the falls.
You can take a small boat close to the water, watch the macaques in the olive trees and have lunch with a view.
The waterfalls of Ouzoud are one of the most impressive natural sights of Morocco and a refreshing escape on a hot day. The walk down and back up is easy but includes steps, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
In spring, after the rains, the falls are at their most powerful.
